Questions & Answers

Why did you come to work at Newton?

Before Newton, I worked for an international school in Bangkok where I was responsible for marketing, communications and external relations. I was excited by the challenge offered to me by Newton and resolved to begin this new professional chapter of my career.

Why are you passionate about your job?

I am grateful to have the opportunity to learn from great visionaries and leaders such as Dr T, Khun Ping, Mr Satyajit and many others. The working environment at Newton is fantastic and the people I work with are supportive and inspiring.

What do you do on a day-to-day basis?

I am an Executive in the CEO Office, currently assigned to Newton Business School.

My day-to-day activities consist of a combination of working on strategic and operational tasks for Newton Business School as well as external relations for schools in the Newton Education Group.

I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience each day in class with our talented and enthusiastic students at Newton Business School. I like to take the view that I am like a big brother to students, and encourage Newton students to be proactive in coming to me or any other executive if they would like any advice or guidance. Whilst the world may be changing with exciting advances in technology and AI, I feel that there will always be a need for strong working relationships, and that people matter.

What recent assignments have you worked on?

I was recently involved in co-organising and facilitating the recent Newton Business School workshop. This turned out to be a fun, informative Saturday event - students attending mentioned that they enjoyed being able to challenge each other’s points of views and learning using the Business Case Study method.

Do you enjoy working with the other executives?

Absolutely! The Executive area upstairs is a place of thought, focus and much dialectical thinking. In particular, I am thankful to fellow executives P’Ae, P’Mod and P’Earth for their friendship. They also help to teach me new business Thai vocabulary which is really kind of them!

Tell us something people don’t know about you?

I am mixed race and am descended from a British/Thai/Chinese heritage. In my spare time I enjoy reading and learning about Thai and Chinese history and culture.

Who will I nominate to be next?

Asa Chotchokornpant (P’Mod)
