Meeting someone who is perfect in every angle and seems to suit you in every way appears to be unreal. The instant connection between you two is electric. Come to think about it, out of 8 billion people in the world, what are the odds you meet the one that comes across as the one ? Pure coincidence is not a strong enough argument, so there may be something pulling you guys together. We’ve all heard the phrase, “everything happens for a reason”. But taking a deeper dive at it, it really makes you question everything. It took someone to be at a specific place at a particular time for you to come across them and at the end of the day, it played out perfectly. Now they're an important part of your life. You were meant to meet them.

People who believe in this phrase are often thought to be delusional and naive. But then again, the believers often live simpler lives just by living life day by day and not overcomplicating it, since at the end of the day they think that everything will work out the way it's supposed to. Also, they often don't hold grudges and stay frustrated at stuff for long since they know that with every action, mistake, or doubt they face, will come a solution, explanation, and a point to evolve from; that at the end of the day, everything will be fine. Having this mindset promotes growth and acceptance. Accepting that every failure will lead to a new path, every breakdown will end up in self-development, and every step back resulting in an even larger comeback. Adding on, it motivates you to try. If you try and it works out then that's great, it's meant to be. But if you've tried and it doesn't, you know that it wasn't meant for you and you'll find what is soon since it's all going to turn out fine. Since everything supposedly happens for a reason and that reason of yours will soon be uncovered.

On the contrary, some people are skeptical about this theory. The idea that the universe has a set plan and has already determined everyone’s destiny seems quite vain. Why would the universe have a set plan for every single person and how would that even happen? In a way, thinking that “everything happens for a reason” could be used as excuses for a lot of things, such as thinking that just because you failed a maths test meant that you weren’t made to do maths or because you didn’t get into medical school meant you weren’t destined to be a doctor is quite ignorant. It gives an excuse for your mistakes for not trying hard enough, and instead of retrying and fighting for your goal you just give up because of the amount of trust you have in the universe and its “destined plan” for you. You can be misinterpreting purely coincidental things for signs or hints of a pathway that may not even exist. The reason why people think that “everything happens for a reason” is for pure comfort. It’s comforting knowing that something out there has a plan for you and will control your every move and that at the end of it all, you’ll be fine. But ultimately, all you do is just find meanings and reasoning behind everything - just over-analyzing it all. Not every single action will have an explanation behind it. Some things just happen and the reason why everything seems to work out in the end is because of you . You are the one who got up from that point of failure and found another loophole or chose another pathway. Not the universe or any higher power, just you and your intelligence, leading you to a doorway of opportunities and solutions. Don’t discredit yourself!

When you meet someone so perfect and who matches you like a jigsaw, you start to wonder. What made me find this person? Was this really just a coincidence? If it weren’t for the smallest series of events that made you meet them, everything wouldn’t have turned out this way and both of your lives would be completely different. Or is this just overanalyzing everything again? It was just a coincidence meeting them, like how you met everyone else in your life. But you guys just have a connection like no one does, and that is what makes it feel so special. Isn't it more rewarding knowing that out of everyone they are the only one who you have this connection with because of your hard work in forming this bond, than to think that they were just brought to you because of a blueprint made for you, and that whatever happens you guys were meant to meet either way?

Being born into a family that seems to agitate you in every way, making you feel like the black sheep is difficult, but this really puts things into view, you can either think “I was put here for a reason and I will learn alot from this” and this may be true, having a tough childhood and being around people who don't seem to fit you can lead to wondrous breakthroughs and realisation in thefuture since everything happens for a reason. So supposably, all the trauma and pain you went through is justified due to it just being a part in a series of events that’ll lead you to a better future? Seeing this from the opposite end of the table suggests that there wasn't an explanation on why you were born into your family, it's just how it is. With this, it makes you really realise that you're the only one who can do something about the situation, putting your fight or flight instincts to the test. Either you fight for this family and try to work things out or you isolate yourself, stay in your little bubble and be ignorant of the situation. Whichever tactic you choose, it will determine the journey future you will take.

Everything may or may not happen for a reason, that is something we’ll never be able to truly figure out. Even if there might not be a set plan or a destiny for you. Just know that the outcome of something happening and what happens to you can be determined by you yourself. You can change your future and you can follow your own path to your set goals and just because something doesn't work out, it may not mean it wasn't meant for you but it might just be a little hint for you to get up and try another path to conquer your goals since you often learn more from the journey than the actual end goal itself.
